VW has now revved up its work in India with an expansion plan. As a part of its expansion plan “people’s car” (which is the meaning of Volks wagen) is running lots of road tests all over India. The hatchback from VW Polo, which is awaiting its launch in January 2010 Delhi Auto show, was spy–shot by the folks at carwale. They also spotted Skoda’s new Fabia being road tested. Leave alone the Fabia and the Polo which may be construed as a part of the plan, but what’s not is the SEAT Ibiza being road tested. VW’s sister concern SEAT’s Ibiza is the brands small hatch which shares its platform with the Polo, so the best guess would be that VW is testing the engines.
