Remember the Aston Martin Rapide we showed from Frankfurt…? I assume so, as the car is quite unforgettable. Now Aston has released this video about how they developed it. It chronicles the various test cycles like power train development, wet weather testing etc.

It’s not the best car video floating around (in fact, its quite crappy) but the car itself makes it pure pornography. I mean, there are two of them by the end of the video for crying out loud…

James Bond has grown up a lot these last few years, he has fallen in and out of love, he longer uses his fancy gadgets and now Aston Martin has made it easier for him to finally settle down and have some kids. The Aston Martin Rapide may not be the fastest 4-door sedan in the world, but it is most certainly the most beautiful. The production version of the Aston Martin Rapide was unvieled in Frankfurt today and the boy, does it look good…The changes from the concept version are minimal and quite frankly, the only thing we really miss are those fantastic run-along-the-back taillights.

The 4-door Aston Martin Rapide took its first passenger in Kuwait recently. Autocar UK’s Steve Cropley was offered the ride along during one of its hot weather testing.

From the video we get an impression that the rear seats aren’t quite spacious as one would expect from a 4-door saloon and the looks are a bit toned down from the concept we were shown a couple of years back. Yet it is better looking than any other saloon on the road.
