More and more details keep emerging on the ZMR. For starters it’s the new Fuel Injected version of Hero Honda’s super bike Karizma. The ZMR has more to it than fuel injection; in fact every dimension of the bike differs from the old Karizma. It has become shorter by 1.5cm and wider by 5cms. The increase in width is because of the enormous front faring, which might look spunky now but it won’t be late before it starts to look like a cheap faring job.
ZMR gets both front and rear disc brakes like most of its rivals. The front has a 276mm disc and the rear has a 240mm disc. From the pictures it is evident that the front turn indicator lights are integrated with the faring. The ZMR has two main flaws the front faring looks big and cheap while the rear end is void of anything new.
Hero Honda has plans to keep the carbureted karizma rolling on the side along with the ZMR. The ZMR cost Rs. 91,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 5 colors to choose from are Blue, White, Yellow, Red and Black.

hmm…
too many curves and grooves.. hard to say how the dimension will look in real from these photos.. got to see it to believe it.
I wonder whats cheap in the fairing..?? Wished it was more specific. From images the build quality doesnt look anything like after market ones. To me it appears to be on par with standards set by R15 except that it appears bulky where as R15 has more streamlined design.. well.. in that sense R15 is a track racer while Karizma is a tourer.. dont you find Busa’s fairing larger than its GSX siblings? Moreover I find the tank groove moving into fairing to accommodate rider’s knee.
I find all these just from pictures.. how come you didnt mention ride quality, effect of GSR suspension in contrast to older hydraulic-spring suspension, details on speedo console, braking, throttle response etc.. if you rode it.. did you get a chance to Ride at all??

Thanks Anup for your comment. This post is not the review of the ZMR so i haven’t written anything about the braking or the throttle responce etc. i welcome your opinion on the subject. The details i have given in here are true to my Knowledge. it is Just my opinion that the faring looks like an after market and it doesn’t look good enough for a stock faring. i agree with you that the R15’s faring is more streamlined and though it is flimsy as well it doesn’t feel that way, atleast to me. And thanks for following my blog

kool posts dude!! well the new karizma looks nice overall, though herohonda could have looked a bit more into ther rearend styling, atleast a broader tyre could have done the magic, and abt the fairings i feel is provided to make the facelift look more effective, bikers have already experimented with alot of different custom made farings to the old karizma,so farings doesnt impress alot!!

Dear KJ,
The photo shot is not taken by right angle. So i can’t judge but… its too ugly than before existed module…. I hope you will upload pic striaght from the Front view and Back view…. Hero honda stands for only hero honda tag name.. not in architect module of bike…. The architect of hero honda should be changed…
